Unique to Poole

The Museum shop is selling special Christmas cards this year, based on an image from one of the panels which used to decorate the walls of the lounge bar in the old London Hotel (now the Globe Café). The panels were painted by Cecil Todd and students from the Poole Art School in 1936 and show a number of Poole old street scenes and characters, depicted with affectionate humour. The cards have been produced by Ken Standing for the Museum Society and are selling at 99p each (with 10% reduction for Society members). Profits will go to Museum funds.
